Be part of One Great Hour of Sharing to advance the causes of justice, resilience and sustainability. Typically received during the season of Lent, each gift supports the Presbyterian Hunger Program, the Presbyterian Committee on Self-Development of People, and the Presbyterian Disaster Program. Included in this Sunday’s bulletin is an informational insert on One Great Hour of Sharing. Giving envelopes will be included in the bulletin on Palm Sunday, April 13. Children will be given a small box (that can be made in the shape of a fish!!) and if you would like to have one for a child who is not attending church, please contact Manju. We will collect all fish boxes and envelopes on Palm Sunday during the offering.
Also on Palm Sunday, we are delighted to have you join us as we celebrate the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem with the Church children’s mini-pageant. Let us wave our palms with joy, remembering that He is our King and Savior. We invite all our children participate in the special worship.

Maundy Thursday April 17, 6:30PM

Come share the experience of grace, mercy and love.

Good Friday  April 18, 8AM
Interfaith Witness & Worship @ Lawrence Livermore Lab: worship and mourn the Prince of Peace against the forces of violence & death.
The Ecumenical Peace Institute (EPI) has hosted the Good Friday Interfaith Witness at the Livermore Nuclear Weapons Laboratory every year since 1983. The Livermore Lab was founded to develop the hydrogen bomb. New weapons of mass destruction are still designed there. For more than 35 years, people of faith and others concerned about the ongoing proliferation of nuclear weapons have gathered on Good Friday outside the Livermore Laboratory. This year’s witness entitled Where do we go from here: Complacency or Action? will be on Friday, April 18 at 7:45am. It will be held on site at Livermore Lab and also on Zoom. The event features notables like Francisco Herrera, the Rev. Sally Juarez, Jim Haber, Pat St. Onge, Vivian Zelaya, Farha Andrabi Navaid, Mark Coplan, Daniel Ziegler, with the Responsive Reading by the Rev. Max Lynn, Wilson Riles Jr, and the Rev. Deborah Lee. St. John’s is a co-sponsor of this event. The EPI invites your participation and your financial support. Donations can be made by check, or online in the EPI website. For more information, please go to the EPI website. Proceeds will be split between EPI and Tri-Valley CARES.
